This high-performance battery system installs into the engine bay and trunk of early (65-70) Mustangs.  Users may need to install a Mustang 2 style independent front suspension to improve the mounting location of the front battery box.  (The Mustang 2 cross member this usually allows for much more room in the engine bay for the electric motor too). 
 
The front battery box holds 5 LG MEB 12s2p batteries, a manual service-disconnect, a high-voltage controls/contactor system, and integrated battery management system.  The rear box holds 4 LG MEB 12s2p batteries a battery management system, and a disconnect contactor.  The box has a 400V nominal output (450V peak) and a 62kWh capacity (58 kwh usable).  The modules are all brand new LG units and are the same as the mass produced and reliable OEM VW/Audi modules.  The boxes are constructed with 0.25" thick aluminum, are gasketed for water and dust ingress, and use water-tight Amphenol power lock HV and Deutsh LV connectors.  All busbar inside is pure copper and the battery system is rated for 1000A peak capacity.
 
We pair this system with our Cascadia iM225 powered EV kits for excellent power, range, and reliability.  The added voltage (450 vs. 400) adds a nice power increase for the Cascadia package, by prolonging peak torque and raising peak horsepower.
